Neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NST) has become an increasingly integral component of multidisciplinary cancer care, with growing evidence supporting earlier systemic treatment in selected solid tumors to downstage disease and improve surgical and oncologic outcomes. A recent analysis using data from the National Cancer Database (NCDB), published in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons, reports substantial increases in the use of NST across multiple cancer types between 2010 and 2022.
