Gratitude for Our Peer Reviewers: The Pillars of Quality at Consultant

Each month, Consultant receives submissions from clinicians across disciplines who wish to share their insights in patient care. Behind every article is an essential group—our peer reviewers. In a previous editorial, I discussed why peer review matters, and how it serves as a safeguard for scientific integrity. For Consultant, peer review also reinforces our mission: to deliver content that clinicians can rely on in everyday practice. I’ve also written about the many paths to presenting a case report, highlighting how each submission type, from diagnostic challenges to therapeutic innovations contributes uniquely to medical learning. Our peer reviewers play a vital role in shaping those narratives, ensuring that every case we publish meets the standards of clarity, accuracy, and educational value that our readers expect.
