What Tests Would You Recommend?
Welcome to part 3 of 5 of our series on lipid management. Here we continue the story of our 68-year-old patient. Read the case, and take our short quiz. Then, listen to the podcast with Dr Paul Jellinger next week to see if you are correct!
At this point, we know that our patient has stage 3 kidney disease and other risk factors for ASCVD.
The patient’s CAC score was 527. A 2-hour GTT revealed diabetes mellitus with a 215 mg/dL 2-hour post-challenge glucose level.
Be sure to tune into next week’s podcast with Dr Paul Jellinger for the answer and background!
