Identifying Ebola: What You Need to Know About EVD

Belay, MD, Associate Director for Epidemiologic Science, Division of High-Consequence Pathogens and Pathology, National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), talks about the symptoms and prognosis of the Ebola virus. Symptoms of Ebola Include: 1. Fever 2. Headache 3. Muscle Aches 4. Joint Pain 5. Vomiting & Diarrhea 6. Hemorrhaging and Internal, External Bleeding The mortality rate of Ebola is between 40-90%, though the disease is not spread through the air, and requires contact with infected bodily fluids for transmission.
